Diesel Mechanic — $1,500 Sign-On Bonus $28–$31/hr Based on Experience Guardian Fleet Services is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. You’ll work on a variety of wreckers, trailers, fleet vehicles, and other types of equipment , with both diesel and gas engines. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines Perform computer diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting Repair engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and braking systems Diagnose and repair air brake and hydraulic systems Perform preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Document repairs and parts used Keep the shop and work area clean and organized Work with drivers and the shop team to keep equipment safe and on the road What We're Looking For Previous diesel or heavy-duty mechanic experience Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience with computerized diagnostic equipment Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems Comfortable using hand and power tools Valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various positions and environments Benefits Offered Two Medical plans Two Dental plans Vision Employer paid Life and AD&D Voluntary Insurance plans 401(k) Plan Short Term Disability Long Term Disability Paid Holiday PTO Paid Uniforms Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Bonus Sign on Bonus Guardian Fleet Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination or harassment of any kind.
