About Our Client Our client is a leading player operating across a diverse portfolio of industrial and consumer businesses. Their portfolio includes well-known hair care products, laundry detergents, fabric softeners, as well as adhesives, sealants, and functional coatings. About The Role We are currently looking for a Head of Accounting to oversee accounting operations in Türkiye. The role will be responsible for leading the accounting function and ensuring the effective and accurate management of all accounting activities. Responsibilities Lead and develop the accounting team, ensuring strong capabilities and effective execution across all accounting activities. Own the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring accurate, complete, timely, and compliant financial records. Ensure timely execution of payments to all vendors, legal entities, and related parties. Oversee payments, tax declarations, statutory filings, and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities. Ensure accurate financial statements and management reporting in line with IFRS and statutory requirements. Drive financial reporting excellence through robust controls, reconciliations, and reporting standards. Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency, standardization, and automation. Monitor developments in accounting standards and legislation, and implement necessary changes. Prepare regular accounting and financial reports for management. Manage key internal and external stakeholder relationships, providing accounting expertise and guidance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 15 years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and statutory accounting requirements. Proven experience managing complex accounting operations and financial closing processes. Strong understanding of tax compliance, regulatory reporting, and internal control environments. Strong experience working with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions. Experience leading and developing teams within a dynamic business environment. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
