Senior Financial Analyst

HYBRID | ONSITE AT JOSTENS’ MINNEAPOLIS HEADQUARTERS 3 DAYS/WEEK ABOUT YOU: We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This role will be a key business partner supporting sales and operational leaders through financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis. The ideal candidate combines strong FP&A skills with a solid understanding of accounting principles to provide actionable insights, improve financial visibility, and influence strategic decision-making. YOU HAVE: Technical skills. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles combined with business acumen. Advanced level skills with Excel and ability to analyze large datasets. Preferred experience with Access, Oracle, and Incorta systems. Attention to detail. Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effectively prioritizes and manages multiple concurrent responsibilities in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines. Great communication skills. Ability to work effectively across multiple organizational levels, building strong partnerships and credibility with stakeholders across the business. Effectively communicates complex financial and accounting concepts to diverse audiences, translating technical information into clear, actionable insights and influencing decisions through collaboration and solution-oriented recommendations. Autonomy. Makes informed and effective business decisions by applying policy knowledge, analytical thinking, experience, and sound judgment. Works independently while escalating issues appropriately and considering broader business impacts. Experience. 5+ years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Corporate Finance, or a related finance role. Preferred experience supporting sales organizations or operational business units. Education. Four-year degree in Accounting or Finance. Preferred CPA, CMA or MBA. YOU WILL: Month End and Annual Closes. Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, financial bridges, and analytical summaries, presenting key drivers to leadership. Analyze and Report Financial Performance. Develop, maintain, and analyze weekly sales, volume and profitability reporting. Provide meaningful analysis of results against forecast, budget, and prior year performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities Partner with Business Leaders. Collaborate with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to identify performance drivers, evaluate strategic initiatives, and deliver actionable financial insights that support business decisions and financial objective Lead Forecasting and Planning Activities. Support the quarterly forecasting process and annual budget development by partnering with functional teams to assess assumptions, quantify risks and opportunities, and drive forecast accuracy. Process Improvement and Enhancements. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities. Develop models, dashboards and reporting tools that improve visibility into business performance and enhance decision-making. Financial Analysis. Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and key business initiatives. Serve as a trusted finance partner by responding to financial inquiries and providing data-driven recommendations to Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products and Professional Sports. Through the utilization of best-in-class technical software, such as Workday Adaptive Planning, Incorta, SAP BPC, Oracle, Salesforce, & the Microsoft Suite, you will get to play a critical role in determining financial solutions that steer our business.
