You will coordinate and deliver education, orientation, clinical instruction, competency assessments, and compliance training to support the ongoing development of nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate and deliver staff education, orientation, and compliance training programs in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.
• Develop and maintain training documentation in accordance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.
• Provide hands-on clinical instruction for nursing staff and CNAs.
• Conduct annual competency assessments to evaluate and maintain staff competency.
• Support employee health initiatives and develop training programs that address resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement action plans that support quality improvement and positive resident outcomes.
• Conduct required in-service education and certification programs to support ongoing staff competency and regulatory compliance.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives through education, training, and staff development.
• Perform other duties as assigned. JOB DETAILS
• Pay Rate: $48.00 – $52.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE)
• Hours: Part-Time, 24 hours per week
• Shift Schedule: 3:00 PM
• 8:00 PM
• Days Off: Saturday & Sunday
• Working Days: Monday through Friday REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Current and active California Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Valid CPR certification.
• One (1) year of direct patient care experience in a long-term care setting plus one (1) year of experience planning educational programs; OR two (2) years of licensed nursing experience, with at least one (1) year providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting.
• Within six (6) months of employment and prior to teaching, must complete twenty-four (24) hours of continuing education in educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation from an accredited or approved source.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, and all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with computers and basic software applications. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• One (1) year of instructor experience.
• Knowledge of quality improvement methods.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and training techniques.
• Knowledge of patient safety and risk management.
• Knowledge of regulatory survey processes.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Knowledge of employee health practices. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to provide hands-on clinical instruction and demonstrate nursing and patient care techniques.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform routine physical activities associated with clinical instruction.
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
