Monkey in the Metal Project Manager Are You Ready to Lead Unique and Creative Projects? Monkey in the Metal is on the hunt for a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to help drive our projects to completion. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, Monkey in the Metal has been delivering custom solid wood and metal fabrication solutions since 2012. We specialize in crafting one-of-a-kind furniture, architectural treatments, signage, and artwork for public and private spaces. Our portfolio spans multifamily residences, offices, retail spaces, and universities, with a core mission that "everything custom comes to us." As a small yet ambitious team, we bring dedication, creativity, and precision to every project, helping transform spaces into functional works of art. As the Project Manager , you will work directly with national-level general contractors to manage projects from the design stage through to installation. You'll take charge of schedules, anticipate project bottlenecks, and ensure everything is on track to deliver exceptional results. A key part of your role will involve hands-on coordination with our shop team to oversee efficiency, quality control, and any necessary adjustments. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and exceptional service. Utilize ERP systems like Innergy to set and adjust project timelines, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Work closely with shop teams to monitor production, troubleshoot issues, and maintain project quality. Identify and negotiate change orders with clients, ensuring alignment with project scopes and timelines. Review and interpret architectural drawings, manage records, and maintain clear project documentation. Conduct on-site inspections to ensure that installations meet our high standards and resolve any last-minute project needs. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in construction project management, with ideally 2 years of experience in shops. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with a plus for familiarity with Innergy ERP. Hands-on experience with basic metalworking and woodworking tools. Strong understanding of shop scheduling, hours, and rate management. Experience in managing multiple stakeholders and strong negotiation skills. Ability to interpret architectural specifications and handle custom design requirements.
