About The Role The Sales Development Representative is responsible for creating qualified pipeline for a B2B SaaS platform that helps engineering and IT teams monitor cloud infrastructure, applications, and APIs. The role researches target accounts, engages technical and business decision-makers, and turns interest into qualified conversations for account executives. This is a high-volume, quota-carrying role with structured coaching, clear activity targets, and direct exposure to the full sales cycle. Success requires disciplined prospecting, strong written communication, and the ability to connect technical pain points—such as outages, alert fatigue, and poor system visibility—to measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Prospect into engineering, DevOps, IT, and security accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn, and targeted account-based outreach Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on company fit, technical environment, business need, urgency, and buying process Book qualified discovery meetings for account executives and consistently achieve weekly activity, meeting, and pipeline targets Research target accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, company websites, technographic data, and intent signals Personalize messaging around cloud platforms, Kubernetes, observability, application performance, APIs, and infrastructure reliability Maintain accurate Salesforce records, including contact data, activity history, qualification notes, meeting outcomes, and next steps Test talk tracks, email sequences, and targeting strategies with sales and marketing to improve reply rates and meeting conversion What We Are Looking For 0-2 years of experience in sales, business development, recruiting, customer success, hospitality, retail, or another customer-facing role Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences Comfort with high-volume outreach, performance targets, rejection, and consistent follow-through Organized and detail-oriented when managing prospect research, CRM updates, sequences, and follow-up tasks Demonstrated coachability, competitiveness, resilience, and interest in building a career in technology sales Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience; familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator is helpful Bonus: experience selling or supporting cloud, cybersecurity, developer tools, infrastructure, APIs, or other B2B technology products
