Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technician –New Bern Full Time | $20 – $24 per hour, based on experience About Pro-Serv Food Equipment Pro-Serv Food Equipment has been Keeping the Carolinas Cooking by servicing the commercial kitchens that restaurants, schools, hospitals and food service operations depend on every day. We're growing our [City] team and looking for dependable PM Technicians who want to build a career in the trade. The Role As a PM Technician, you'll perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial kitchen and refrigeration equipment for customers across the [City] area. This is a great role for someone with some mechanical or trade experience who wants hands-on training and a clear path to becoming a full Service Technician. Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial cooking, refrigeration and ice equipment Clean, inspect, test and calibrate equipment according to PM checklists Identify worn parts, needed repairs and potential failures, and report them to the service team Complete minor repairs and part replacements as trained Document all work accurately and on time Represent Pro-Serv professionally with every customer Assist senior technicians on service calls and installations as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of mechanical, HVAC, appliance, maintenance or related trade experience preferred EPA 608 certification a plus (or willingness to obtain) Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude Reliable, organized and detail-oriented Valid driver's license and clean driving record Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and perform manual tasks Eagerness to learn and grow with the company Benefits Performance-based bonuses and profit sharing 401(k) with company match Health, dental and vision insurance Paid time off, holidays and parental leave Company vehicle, tools and free uniforms provided Flexible schedule Ongoing training and professional development Real opportunity for advancement Employee discounts and company parties Looking for a career, not just a job?
