Position Overview The Speech Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care based on physician orders. Key duties include assessments, administering treatments, care planning, coordinating with the healthcare team, supply management, emergency response, and educating family members. Responsibilities Include Providing prescribed Speech Therapy services. Following policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure patient safety and quality care. Developing and documenting evaluation reports, treatment plans, and progress notes aligned with physician goals. Maintaining the plan of care and adjusting as needed to meet patient needs. Collaborating with healthcare team members, families, and caregivers for coordinated care and discharge planning. Ensuring confidentiality and effective communication within the team and with families. Serving as a resource for clinical staff and providing progress updates to physicians. Qualifications And Skills Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited institution. Valid and unrestricted SLP license in the practice state. Current CPR certification. Preferred: At least one year of recent experience in an acute care setting. Key Attributes: Strong communication, clinical judgment, teamwork, and adherence to standards of care.
