We are committed to helping children succeed in all stages of life through evidence-based therapy and education, diagnostic services, state-of-the-art facilities, specialized equipment, family support, and community investment.    Why you’ll love working at Pediatrics Plus: Competitive Pay Compensation Training & Development Personal Growth & Leadership Opportunities Supportive & Interdisciplinary Work Environment Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm   What you will do: The Medical Assistant provides routine and repetitive client care activities to patients at Pediatrics Plus. They maintain standards of nursing care, under the supervision of registered nurses and other team members in accordance with the core values, objectives, and policies of Pediatrics Plus. The Medical Assistant provides daily nursing services as well as monitors for all aspects of health and safety. Monitor all aspects of health and safety. Provide basic care to clients under the supervision of a nurse. Be available for all health-related needs of the preschool, including sicknesses, accidents, and incidents. Perform a variety of routine client care procedures including recording client height and weight, taking and documenting vital signs, providing assistance with nourishment and infection control techniques. Manage and maintain client comfort (restorative and rehabilitative procedures as directed, including band aide application and ice packs as indicated) Perform administrative tasks for the nursing team, as needed. Be available to collect information from caregivers about client needs and disseminate information to Registered Nurse for follow-up. Monitor for potential abuse or neglect situations and follow the required DHS reporting guidelines for any suspected issues. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.   Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Certification of CMA or RMA. Completion of CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program. Pediatric experience and knowledge, preferred.   What you have: Knowledge of basic client care needs.  Knowledge of common pediatric developmental conditions.  Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people.  Ability to be empathetic and caring toward clients, their family members, and other team members.  Must be able to work with clients birth to age 18 and families who are at risk.  Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.  Computer skills which include a working knowledge of databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and internet software.  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Reports for work dressed appropriately and complies with company policies regarding the dress code.  Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.  Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.   Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The team member is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The team member is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The team member is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
