Join a team where your expertise is valued, your growth is supported, and your work helps maintain and enhance the critical infrastructure that powers communities across the nation.   Job Summary Loenbro is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Survey Technician to support mission-critical construction projects, including hyperscale data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, and other complex infrastructure developments. This role is responsible for performing field surveying, layout verification, quality control measurements, and construction staking activities utilizing Trimble survey equipment and software platforms.  The Survey Technician will work closely with project managers, superintendents, engineers, BIM/VDC teams, and craft professionals to ensure accurate project layout, alignment, and documentation throughout all phases of construction.    Essential Job Responsibilities  Perform construction staking and layout for foundations, structural steel, equipment pads, underground utilities, roadways, electrical infrastructure, and building components.  Operate and maintain Trimble total stations, GNSS/GPS receivers, robotic instruments, and data collectors.  Utilize Topcon survey equipment and software to process, manage, and maintain accurate field data. Interpret engineering drawings, BIM models, civil plans, utility plans, and specifications to establish project control points.  Verify as-built conditions and perform quality assurance/quality control surveys throughout construction activities.  Establish and maintain horizontal and vertical control networks on active construction sites.  Collaborate with project management and field operations teams to identify and resolve layout discrepancies.  Generate survey reports, field notes, stakeout documentation, and as-built deliverables.  Assist with reality capture activities utilizing laser scanning, GPS technologies, and drone-based mapping programs when applicable.  Ensure surveying activities align with project schedules while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and safety.  Support construction teams in fast-paced mission-critical environments where schedule adherence and precision directly impact project success.    Minimum Qualifications  High school diploma or GED required.  Associate degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Geomatics, or related field preferred.  Minimum 2 years of construction surveying experience required.  Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or data center construction projects preferred.  Working knowledge of survey principles, coordinate systems, control networks, and construction layout procedures.  Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.  Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.    Preferred Qualifications  3+ years of experience with Trimble surveying technologies.  Proficiency with:   Trimble Business Center (TBC)  Trimble Siteworks  Trimble Access  Trimble GNSS/GPS Systems  Robotic Total Stations  Experience integrating survey data with BIM/VDC workflows and Autodesk platforms.  Familiarity with data center construction, electrical infrastructure, and mission-critical facilities.  OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.  FAA Part 107 Drone License a plus.    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  Strong understanding of construction surveying methods and best practices.  High attention to detail with exceptional measurement accuracy.  Ability to work in dynamic, active construction environments.  Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.  Effective communication and collaboration skills.  Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive project schedules.  Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.      Physical Requirements & Work Environment  Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.  Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.  Ability to travel to construction sites nationwide as required.  Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all safety regulations.  Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, including mission-critical and industrial environments.    Benefits  Loenbro offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and rewards to those who join our team:  Medical, dental, and vision insurance  401(k) retirement plan with company match  Paid time off (PTO) Life and disability insurance  Professional development and training opportunities  Employee assistance program (EAP)    Benefits eligibility may vary based on employment classification and hours worked.    Our Core Values  LEAD with Values:  Live with Integrity – We do the right thing and do what we say, in every Interaction • and practice stewardship to car for the communities where we live & work.   Exceed Expectations – We anticipate customer needs, deliver Innovative solutions, and dedicate ourselves to creating outcomes that make a real difference.   Act with Urgency – We take action, adapt seamlessly, and keep projects moving without compromising quality • because our customers priorities are our priorities.   Deliver Excellence – We combine our passion for quality, our Industry expertise, and our eye for Innovation to make excellence our standard.   Guided by core values, grounded in grit and a commitment to excellence, Loenbro maintains and enhances the industrial infrastructure that betters our families, customers, and local communities.    Loenbro is an Equal Opportunity Employer.      This job was verified from Greenhouse (US).
