Registered Nurse - Acute Care Ortho Surgical - Full-Time Night Shift

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care Ortho Surgical, offering full-time night shifts. Responsibilities: Provide individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care within an interdisciplinary team. Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Deliver relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to diverse populations and cultural backgrounds. Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals guide care plans. Coordinate safe, quality care documentation and promote a respectful, inclusive clinical environment. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research activities, and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, supporting professional development and maintaining clinical competencies. Uphold healthcare policies, standards, legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Contribute to protocol development and resource management to optimize care delivery. Qualifications: Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred. Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire. Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Skills: Proficiency in English, with strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies calmly and decisively. Excellent time management, clinical, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Basic computer skills and proficiency with healthcare technology.
