Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Norfolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide compassionate customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. • 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points and support visitor, patient, and staff access procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements. Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities. Minimum Requirements Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
