Director of Business Development Dallas, Texas About the opportunity Liberty Towers is recruiting a Director of Business Development for an international payments technology business. Our client helps businesses improve how they accept and manage payments. It is looking for an experienced enterprise sales professional to develop new opportunities within the airline sector. Payments expertise and a strong new business track record are essential. Previous airline / hotels experience is an advantage This newly created role offers autonomy to identify prospects, build senior-level relationships and take complex opportunities from initial engagement through to close. You will work with product, consulting and delivery specialists to develop commercially compelling solutions. What you will do Develop and execute account plans for target airline customers. Identify new prospects and create opportunities through proactive outreach, networking and relationship development. Build relationships with senior decision-makers across finance, treasury, payments, digital and technology. Lead discovery discussions to understand payment challenges, buying priorities and commercial objectives. Build business cases demonstrating how improved payment performance can increase conversion, reduce costs and improve the customer experience. Coordinate internal specialists to develop proposals and support negotiations. Take ownership of opportunity qualification, pipeline management and forecasting. Share customer feedback and market insight to help shape the sales approach. What we are looking for A strong background in enterprise payments sales or business development, typically with eight or more years of relevant commercial experience. Evidence of personally originating and closing complex new business opportunities. Experience selling payment acceptance, merchant acquiring, gateway, orchestration or related enterprise payment solutions. Confidence engaging senior finance, treasury and technology stakeholders. The ability to translate technical capabilities into a clear, quantified commercial case. Strong account planning, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. An independent, proactive approach and the persistence to develop opportunities before a formal buying process begins. Willingness to build a detailed understanding of airline customers and their payment requirements. Useful additional experience Selling payments or technology solutions into airlines, travel or hospitality. Established relationships with senior airline decision-makers. Experience with cross-border payments, alternative payment methods, fraud prevention or payment optimisation. We welcome strong payments sales professionals from other sectors.
