Full-Time RN Head Nurse

Job Summary The Head Nurse oversees patient care, staff management, and daily operations within a specific nursing department. They utilize the nursing process to make clinical decisions, partnering with patients and families to promote health and restore well-being. The role blends caring, compassion, knowledge, and integrity to deliver safe, quality care that respects patient autonomy and dignity. They provide clinical leadership to nursing staff, ensuring continuity of care aligned with hospital policies and goals, and collaborate with leadership to achieve objectives. Responsibilities Interpret and review diagnostic data related to patient conditions. Collaborate with leadership and other disciplines to improve department performance. Provide guidance during life-threatening situations. Evaluate intervention effectiveness and patient outcomes. Implement innovative processes to enhance patient care. Participate in clinical leadership activities such as coaching, mentoring, staffing, and performance evaluations. Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure quality patient care. Support ongoing professional development. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar or current unit. RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred. Computer literacy required; additional certifications desired.
