Vice President – Full Java Stack Engineer

We are seeking a Vice President – Full Stack Engineer to join a mission-critical engineering team supporting a high-performance, regulated enterprise platform. This is a hands-on engineering role with a strong backend focus (approximately 70–80% backend development) responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, resilient cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), and Angular, along with experience building distributed, event-driven systems in enterprise environments. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. • Build scalable cloud-native microservices deployed on Microsoft Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). • Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and low-latency distributed systems. • Implement resiliency patterns including circuit breakers, retries, back-pressure, and graceful degradation. • Develop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting high-throughput applications. • Build and integrate event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging platforms. • Collaborate with architecture, platform, product, and engineering teams throughout the SDLC. • Drive software quality through unit testing, TDD, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines. • Monitor application health using APM tools, logging, metrics, and performance monitoring solutions. • Apply secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles throughout the development lifecycle. • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions. • Leverage AI-assisted development tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, debugging, and productivity improvements. ________________________________________ Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. • 5–9 years of hands-on software development experience. • Strong expertise in: o Java (17 or higher) o Spring Boot o Microservices Architecture o REST APIs • Experience developing cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure. • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or comparable Kubernetes platforms. • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and performance optimization. • Experience with Angular (preferred) or React. • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming technologies. • Experience working within financial services or other highly regulated industries. • Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and secure software development practices. • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53. • Experience with application performance monitoring (APM), logging, and observability tools. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. • Practical experience using AI-powered development tools for coding, testing, debugging, and code reviews. ________________________________________ Technical Environment Backend • Java 17/21 • Spring Boot • Microservices • REST APIs Frontend • Angular (Preferred) • React (Nice to Have) Cloud & DevOps • Microsoft Azure • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) • Docker • Kubernetes • CI/CD Messaging • Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms Security • DevSecOps • Secure Coding Practices • Secrets Management • NIST 800-53 (preferred) Thanks & Regards, All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
