This role develops and executes strategies to prevent, detect, investigate, and report instances of fraud, waste, abuse, and misconduct across ACG. The SIU Manager oversees a team of investigators who handle complex investigations (e.g., financial fraud schemes, employee malfeasance, theft of assets, policy violations, and external threats against the company). They ensure investigations are conducted thoroughly, discreetly, and in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. The manager also works closely with Compliance, Legal, HR, and law enforcement agencies, strengthening ACG’s defenses against illicit activities and ensuring outcomes of investigations lead to improved controls and risk mitigation. Key Responsibilities:

Establishes protocols that align with industry best practices and legal standards, ensuring consistent investigative quality across the organization.
• Fraud Prevention and Detection: Collaborates with other departments (Compliance, Finance, Audit, IT Security) to identify red flags and proactively detect potential fraudulent or unethical activities. Implements systems or tools for fraud detection (such as data analytics to spot anomalies in transactions, or security audits to uncover policy violations). • Interdepartmental Coordination: Works in tandem with HR on investigations involving employees (e.g., harassment, policy violations), ensuring due process and fairness. Coordinates with the Legal department throughout investigations to understand legal implications, preserve privilege when necessary, and prepare for any potential litigation or regulatory reporting. Partners with IT Security for cases involving cyber elements (like data breaches or computer misuse) and with Physical Security for cases like theft or workplace violence. This cross-functional approach ensures comprehensive fact-gathering and unified action against identified issues.
• Reporting and Case Resolution: Ensures all necessary regulatory requirements are met in the reporting of fraud and investigation outcomes. Internally, prepare clear, detailed investigative reports for each case, outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations. Presents investigation findings to senior management and relevant committees, highlighting control breakdowns or gaps that enabled the incident.
• Remediation and Control Improvement: After concluding investigations, identifies underlying root causes or control failures that allowed the issue to occur. Works with process owners to design and implement corrective actions, whether it’s tighter financial controls, enhanced background checks, revised policies, or targeted training for employees. Tracks the implementation of these remediation measures and reports on their status. Develops metrics to measure the impact of the SIU’s work, such as value of losses prevented/recovered, number of cases substantiated, average case resolution time, etc., demonstrating the unit’s contribution to risk reduction.
• Team Management and Development: Manages the SIU team of investigators. Provides mentorship and training to develop their investigative skills (e.g., interviewing, evidence handling, case management). Ensures the team stays current on emerging fraud schemes, investigation techniques, and legal updates (for instance, attending relevant seminars or obtaining certifications like CFE – Certified Fraud Examiner). Promotes a culture of integrity, objectivity, and relentless pursuit of facts within the team.
• External Liaison: Serves as ACG’s liaison with external investigative bodies and law enforcement. Maintains contacts in local and federal law enforcement agencies, and coordinate referrals of cases to law enforcement when criminal prosecution is warranted.
