About the Role We're looking for a strong accountant who is ready to take greater ownership of client accounting relationships and grow into a key role within our firm. We're open to both experienced accountants and high-potential early-career accountants with strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a desire to learn. This is not a traditional bookkeeping or transactional accounting position. You'll work directly with business owners and management teams, oversee month-end accounting and financial reporting, solve accounting issues, and help improve the systems and processes our clients rely on. We're open to someone who already has experience managing client relationships as well as a strong Senior Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career. For the right person, this role has the opportunity to grow into higher-level accounting leadership and controller-level responsibilities for some of our larger clients. What You’ll Do Take ownership of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients Manage month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, adjusting entries, and proper period cutoffs Prepare and review financial statements and identify issues that need attention Communicate directly with business owners and management teams Investigate accounting problems and determine appropriate solutions Review accounting work and help ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness Improve accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls Help clients implement and effectively use systems such as Xero and Ramp Coordinate deadlines and accounting needs across multiple clients As you grow in the role, take on greater responsibility for larger and more complex client relationships What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting 1+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred; exceptional recent graduates with strong accounting fundamentals are encouraged to apply Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP fundamentals Experience owning or playing a significant role in month-end close Strong understanding of reconciliations, accruals, adjusting entries, fixed assets, and financial statements Ability to investigate and solve accounting problems independently Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work Comfortable communicating directly with clients Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Someone who takes ownership rather than waiting to be told what to do next Nice to Have Experience managing or reviewing the work of other accounting team members Experience owning client or business-unit financials Experience in Client Accounting Services (CAS), outsourced accounting, or public accounting Experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar role Experience with Xero, Ramp, or similar accounting technology Experience with growing small to mid-sized businesses Interest in process improvement, automation, and building better accounting systems Who This Role is Not For This probably isn't the right role for someone looking primarily for transactional bookkeeping, data entry, or a highly structured environment where each task is assigned step by step. We're open to candidates at different stages of their accounting careers. You may already have experience owning client relationships, or you may be earlier in your career and ready for more responsibility, challenging accounting work, and direct exposure to business owners.
