About the Position: Serves as Human Resources Assistant (Military/OA) for MEDDAC-AK. This position is located at Fort Richardson, AK.
Maintains automated suspense tracking systems for the receipt, routing, and monitoring of all military personnel documentation.
Serves as the MEDDAC-AK subject matter expert and final reviewer for the Officer Evaluation Report and Noncommissioned Officer Evaluation Report programs.
Conducts all military in-processing and out-processing for Active Duty, Reserve Component, and backfill personnel.
Interviews enlisted Soldiers and reviews personnel records to determine eligibility for requested personnel actions.
Assists the Chief of Military HR in reviewing and updating internal directives and instructions to ensure consistency in enlisted management operations.
Provides guidance to managers, supervisors, and staff on award eligibility, documentation requirements, and regulatory compliance.
Provides customer service by handling calls, walk-ins, and inquiries or directing individuals to the appropriate office.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing personnel documentation for accuracy; reviewing performance evaluations and award submissions for regulatory compliance; assisting with personnel in-processing and out-processing; and processing employee record updates within a Human Resources database. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
