Engineering Project Manager

Role Description This is a full time, hybrid Engineering Project Manager role based in Boise, Idaho. In this role, you will oversee and manage multidisciplinary engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements. You will coordinate engineering activities across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines, manage project schedules, budgets, and resources, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, communicating progress and resolving issues in a way that reflects well on Astra. This role also carries the authority to make schedule and resource decisions rather than just tracking them, and to push back on scope or timeline changes that put a project at risk. Qualifications 5+ years managing multidisciplinary engineering or construction projects, with direct responsibility for schedule and budget outcomes Field or plant experience in industrial, mining, process, or manufacturing environments, not office only project coordination Track record of coordinating across engineering disciplines (civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls) and holding subcontractors and vendors accountable Strong client facing communication skills, including experience owning client relationships through project delivery Working proficiency with project scheduling and management software (MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or equivalent) Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field PE license or PMP certification is a plus, not required Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, including keeping engineers on pace without burning them out
