Nextran Truck Centers is hiring!The Parts Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering parts to customers on a daily basis. Job Duties Include Pulls parts orders in warehouse for delivery Loads orders for delivery manually, with hand truck or with forklift Checks vehicle for safety/maintenance issues daily Delivers parts to customer and ensures accuracy by matching parts to invoice Completes documentation necessary for the delivery and payment of goods Stocks items in warehouse, as needed Assists in other warehouse duties Operates company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner. Follows all state and local rules, laws and guidelines pertaining to operating a motor vehicle All other duties as assigned. Preferred Candidates Have The Following Valid driver’s license and clean driving record DOT physical and resulting Medical Examiner’s Certificate required Must pass a driving test Effective communication skills for relationship building with customers Basic math, reading, and ability to follow directions High School Education or GED preferred Physical Demands And Work Environment Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms including over head; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or climb. Regularly required to sit for extended periods of time while driving delivery vehicle Entry and exit from various types of vehicles, including pallet jacks and forklifts. Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally required to lift and move weight greater than 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Employee will be exposed to heat and humid conditions inside and outside the facility. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
