Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the NGIC, GEOSPATIAL Intelligence Battalion, Global Targeting Analysis Division, Army GEOINT Battalion-Denver Branch, Buckley AFB, CO 80011. Senior GEOINT Analyst plans, directs and evaluates the work of a team whose mission is to conduct geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) analysis and production, or training. Provides technical guidance and oversight for the production or training of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) information. Manages and assists in data extraction and processing, analysis and reporting of full-spectrum GEOINT. Directs and leads Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) analytic efforts, or GEOINT courseware initiative and development strategies, and the Army GEOINT Foundry program. Equitably assigns work among employees and provides expert direction for analytical agenda. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. Specialized experience is one year at the next lower level (GS/GG-12 that includes: 1) Experience planning, directing, and evaluating the work of a team conducting geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) analysis and production. AND 2) Experience must demonstrate providing technical guidance and oversight throughout the entire GEOINT production process, from collection and targeting to final dissemination. AND 3) Experience managing and assisting in data extraction, processing, and analysis of full-spectrum GEOINT. AND 4) Experience in a supervisory capacity, including assigning and reviewing work, evaluating employee performance, managing resources, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and objectives. Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
