# Senior Accountant - RE

Role Description The Senior Accountant – RE role is a full-time, on-site position based in Irvine, CA. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for real estate entities, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close processes. The Senior Accountant will prepare and analyze financial statements, reconcile accounts, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The position will also involve handling property-level reporting, reviewing leases and related financial data, assisting with audits, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to provide accurate, timely financial information. The individual in this role will contribute to process improvements, maintain organized documentation, and support strategic decision-making with clear financial insights. Qualifications Strong real estate accounting experience, including property-level reporting, lease review, and understanding of real estate transactions. Proficiency in general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes. Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses. Knowledge of GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements, with the ability to apply standards to real estate operations. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting or ERP systems commonly used in real estate. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Previous experience in a senior or lead accounting role, preferably within real estate or a related sector. Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
