Server Job Description Position Summary The Server provides friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests. This role takes and delivers orders, answers menu questions, and helps create a positive dining experience while following food safety and service standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Greet guests promptly and courteously; explain menu items and make recommendations. • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system. • Serve orders efficiently and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction. • Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns professionally. • Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked service areas. • Follow food safety, sanitation, responsible alcohol service, and cash-handling procedures. • Coordinate with kitchen and service team members to ensure accurate, timely service. • Process payments accurately and thank guests for their business. • Perform opening, closing, and side-work duties as assigned. • Follow venue policies and complete other related duties as needed. Qualifications • Strong communication and customer-service skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Basic math skills and attention to detail. • Previous serving experience preferred; training may be provided. • Required food-handler and alcohol-service certifications, where applicable. Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. • Ability to carry trays and lift or move items as required by the role. • Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
