Credit Analyst

SUMMARY  The Credit Analyst will report to a West Palm based Portfolio Manager and will be focusing on fundamental bottoms up research to generate commercial trade ideas primarily across the liquid US converts universe. JOB DESCRITPTION Generate trade ideas across liquid U.S. convertible securities through bottom-up fundamental research with a West Palm Beach-based portfolio manager Develop credit opinions by analyzing businesses and capital structures across loans, bonds, and credit default swaps Build financial models to assess issuer fundamentals and relative value across distressed, high-yield, and high-grade credit markets Review transaction documentation to identify risks and protections that inform convertible and broader credit investment decisions Synthesize market information across sectors to uncover thematic opportunities and translate insights into actionable trade recommendations Form differentiated investment views that challenge consensus and clearly articulate conviction behind contrarian or high-conviction ideas Monitor existing positions by tracking news flow, fundamental developments, and supply dynamics that may affect investment views Partner with the portfolio manager and analysts to refine views and support investment decision-making Communicate research conclusions clearly, including key risks, relative value considerations, and factors that could affect the investment thesis QUALIFICATIONS 1+ years of experience conducting credit research on the buy-side or sell-side Interest in public markets and trading, with a focus on applying research to investment decisions Strong fundamental credit research skills, including financial modeling and relative value analysis Familiarity with credit securities, including bonds and credit default swaps Ability to analyze businesses and capital structures across distressed, high-yield, and high-grade credit markets Comfort working through uncertainty and expressing conviction in investment views Desire to take risk and accountability for research-driven decisions Self-motivated, team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills Commitment to the highest ethical standards WE TAKE CARE OF OUR PEOPLE We invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being.
