Deputy Director for Mission, Advanced Analytics PEO ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Mission Deputy, PEO Advanced Analytics (PEO AA) coordinates, defines and advocates for solutions to the warfighter and analyst technology needs across NGA and the NSG. This position works across Maven, Enterprise GIS, and Analytic Technologies Program Offices to synchronize and maximize efficiency in meeting requirements in both mission spaces, and identifies opportunities to leverage mutually reinforcing investments. Ensures program directors are engaged with and responsive to customer needs and represents the voice of the customer in the creation of product road maps. The Mission Deputy, PEO AA participates in governance and oversight boards established by mission owners and represents PEO AA in NSG acquisition and technology strategies, and aligns those efforts to the NGA strategy and goals. Oversees the PEO framework for prioritizing and managing the transition of pilots, prototypes or other technology demonstrations; makes recommendations on integrating pilots into program baselines. Serves as the overall Analytic Workflow Modernization (AWM) lead for Analysis and NGA, representing the Agency investment in CIP/COP, and AWM related activities for DIE and ODNI interagency working groups and in the PPBE process. Provides guidance to Analysis, mission management and agency leadership on the implementation of AWM and CIP/COP. Engages with Analysis Leadership, working analysts and external users at the CCMD and Services to understand their technology needs, as well as help them understand available capabilities. Communicates PEO strategy, approach and mission value to oversight. Works closely with the PEO AA Director in co-leading three large software-centric major system acquisition, focused on all aspects of the analytic workflow, from orchestration and exploitation to computer vision, GIS and modeling. Supervises front office activities via the Chief of Staff to ensure PEO is fully engaged across the Agency, consistent in external messaging and cognizant of security risks to programmatic investments from the activities of foreign adversaries. Eligibility for this executive level position will be based upon a clear demonstration that the applicant has experience of the scope and quality sufficient to effectively carry out the assignments of the position. INTELLIGENCE COMMUNITY SENIOR OFFICER CORE QUALIFICATIONS (ICSOCQ) Leading the Intelligence Enterprise. This core qualification involves the ability to integrate resources, information, interests, and activities effectively in support of the Intelligence Community's (IC) mission and to lead and leverage cross-organizational collaborative networks to achieve significant mission results. Inherent to this senior officer qualification is a deep understanding of the Intelligence enterprise and a shared commitment to the IC's core values. 1. Demonstrated experience representing a mission owner, and advocating for mission requirements. 2. Demonstrated ability to translate needs into requirements as well as help non-technical users understand technical issues. 3. Demonstrated experience in developing and guiding others in strategic plans. 4. Ability to problem solve and deliver needed analysis or capabilities, even from ill-defined needs/requirements. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition processes, systems engineering and/or agile development. 6. Experience working major systems acquisitions with ODNI and/or USD(A&S). 7. Experience working with DoD/DIE requirements. 8. Experience working closely with NGA acquisition and technology programs. 9. Experience transitioning technology from pilots or prototypes into program baselines. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Prior supervisory experience. 2. Experience working with NGA corporate governance and processes. 3. Analytic or operational use of technology for mission outcomes. SPECIAL INFO: SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. DISL positions are established to provide the highest levels of functional and technical expertise by individuals who are recognized leaders and authorities in a specialized field or functional area. The difficulty, complexity, and novelty of DISL work requires creativity, mastery of subject-matter field, and recognition of the professional community. DISL positions have minimal supervisory responsibilities (generally, no more than 25% of work time) and do not have organization or program management responsibilities as DISES positions. 2. Joint Duty Credit: All NGA executive level positions require Joint Duty credit. Employees will receive joint duty credit in a majority of service or rotational assignments that were at least at the GS/GG-11 or DCIPS Pay Band 3 level, and generally for at least one year, or for 179 days or more when deployed to a designated combat zone on or after September 11, 2001. Note: Applicants without Joint Duty credit may apply for the position and can be considered.
