Senior Python Developer

Senior Python Developer – 5+ Years of Experience We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong Python and backend experience to join the software team of our company operating in the financial sector — someone ready to take technical ownership and lead a team. We are looking for a teammate who thrives in fast-paced development cycles, who takes technical ownership of a project rather than simply completing assigned tasks, and who can design scalable systems. What We Are Looking For Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience with Python Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and SQL Advanced experience in backend and API development Experience with asynchronous programming and async operations Hands-on experience with at least one message broker / event-driven technology such as RabbitMQ or Kafka Experience with distributed systems, inter-service communication and scalable architectures Able to make decisions on software architecture and technical design Able to take end-to-end technical ownership of projects Able to balance quality and maintainability within fast development cycles Able to analyse technical problems and produce sound, workable solutions Committed to code review, technical documentation and development standards Experienced in team management and technical leadership, or ready to take on that responsibility Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach Responsibilities Developing Python-based financial applications and services Designing the technical architecture of new systems and evolving the existing one Data modelling, query optimisation and performance improvements on PostgreSQL Building asynchronous, high-performance services Designing and managing messaging infrastructure such as RabbitMQ / Kafka Developing inter-service communication and event-driven structures Taking end-to-end technical ownership of projects Reducing technical debt and improving the scalability of systems Running code review processes and contributing to development standards Managing the software team's day-to-day workflow and technical development Providing technical mentorship to developers within the team Task allocation, prioritisation and project planning where needed Delivering fast, high-quality solutions together with product and other technical teams Technical Expectations Must Have Python PostgreSQL / SQL REST API / Backend Development Async Programming RabbitMQ or Kafka Git Software architecture and design principles Nice to Have Microservices Event-driven architecture Redis Docker CI/CD Cloud technologies Experience with financial systems / fintech If This Role Sounds Like You If you want to go beyond writing code — to have a say in how the architecture should look, to take technical ownership of projects and to lead the growth of a software team — we would like to meet you.
