Senior Accountant

We have an amazing opportunity with our well-established, privately owned client in Kenner, LA to join the team as they plan for retirement in two key roles. There are two accountant openings with slightly different needs. The ideal candidates will have a 4-year accounting degree and at least 3 years of experience. One role could remain a Staff or Senior accountant long term for someone who does not want added responsibility of supervisory duties. The other role could grow into a manager role in the future. The client enjoys great tenure with their team and can provide flexibility for personal needs during the work week. Responsibilities Full cycle accounting with a 5-person team in a tight knit group that cross trains and work very well together Month end close and working closely with operating departments, customers, and vendors to resolve any questions Excellent customer service skills for internal and external communications Qualifications 3+ years of professional accounting experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA or CPA candidate preferred Full cycle accounting in public accounting and/or corporate accounting with strong focus on reconciliations, month end close and financial statement preparation This is a great career opportunity with a hard-working team for long term growth with a company committed to the Kenner area that has very little turnover.
