# Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing accounting team. This position will play an important role in the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong general accounting background, solid Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with and/or lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process Prepare and post journal entries Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports Analyze account activity and research variances Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed Assist with annual audits and provide requested schedules and documentation Ensure accounting transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls Partner with other departments to resolve accounting-related questions and discrepancies Assist with special projects and additional accounting responsibilities as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 3+ years of general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Hands-on month-end close and financial statement experience Strong reconciliation and analytical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with ERP/accounting systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
