Position Summary: IEM is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Jacksonville, FL and will report into the Materials Manager. The Warehouse Supervisor – Metal Area is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for the metal fabrication and kitting operation supporting switchgear assembly. This role sits at the critical intersection of fabrication, inventory control, and production readiness. The primary mission is to ensure the right metal components are kitted accurately and available on time to support assembly schedules.  Please note: This position requires 100% in-office presence in our Jacksonville, FL offices and does not offer remote work. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with Fabrication: Meet with fabrication leads daily to review production schedules, identify bottlenecks, and confirm which metal components will be completed on time. Oversee Kitting: Ensure metal parts are kitted by job accurately. This includes verifying quantities, part numbers, and staging locations to support assembly timelines. Read Drawings and BOMs: Use drawings and BOMs to set kitting priorities and work assignments for the team. Inspect Equipment: Check material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) for defects and coordinate repairs as needed. Cycle Counts: Complete monthly cycle counts for metal and copper inventory, investigate discrepancies, and report findings. Supervise Team: Directly supervise the Material Control Attendant and assist team members with shipping, receiving, and kitting activities in the metal area. Shipping & Receiving Support: Assist with incoming and outgoing metal shipments, verifying accuracy and condition. Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team and organization.  Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required At least 5 years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management within an industrial manufacturing environment, including 2 years of supervisory experience Demonstrated competencies in technical capability, leadership, ethical conduct, performance management, communication, teamwork, and financial management Ability to read and interpret drawings and BOMs (Bill of Materials) to understand what components are needed for each job Experience coordinating with fabrication teams to track schedules and ensure on-time completion of metal components Proven ability to organize and stage parts by job to support assembly timelines Hands-on experience with cycle counts, specifically for metal and copper materials Ability to train, motivate, and monitor a small team, including direct supervision of the Material Control Attendant Ability to inspect material handling equipment and coordinate repairs Familiarity with incoming and outgoing metal shipments and related documentation Demonstrated career ambition with a track record of growth and increasing responsibility; highly promotable with the potential to take on broader leadership roles within a fast-paced, high-growth organization Physical Requirements: This role is physically active, requiring standing and walking for about 75% of the shift and sitting for the remainder. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis, and to bend, squat, and climb as needed. The role also requires extended close work on a computer screen and the ability to see small or detailed items, along with the ability to interpret information and manage multiple tasks at once. Work takes place in both a climate-controlled office and a shop or warehouse area that is not climate-controlled, with exposure to heat, cold, moisture, noise, dust, and fumes.   Compensation actually offered for this role will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
