• we play an active role in shaping a reliable and sustainable energy future. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team at RWE & Turcas Güney Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. (RTG). In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal support across corporate governance, commercial contracts, employment law, regulatory matters, compliance and data privacy. Acting as a key legal partner to management and business functions, you will play an important role in identifying and assessing legal risks, supporting sound business decisions, and ensuring alignment with Turkish law and RWE Group standards. About the Role Provide solution- and business-oriented legal advice to management and business functions regarding RTG’s operations in Türkiye. Corporate Governance & Corporate Secretarial: Provide legal support on corporate law and governance matters; serve as secretary to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee; prepare and maintain minutes, resolutions and corporate records; support corporate approvals and filings; and ensure compliance with applicable corporate governance and shareholder requirements. Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements relating to the company’s business activities. Provide legal advice to HR and management on employment law and employee relations matters. Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the company’s activities and provide legal coordination, particularly on energy sector regulatory matters. Manage legal matters relating to compliance, data privacy, and internal policies and procedures. Coordinate external legal counsel in litigation, disputes and administrative proceedings. Proactively identify, assess and monitor existing and potential legal risks. Support the alignment of local legal practices with Turkish law and RWE Group standards. Job Requirements & Experience Law degree and qualification to practice law in Türkiye. At least 7 years of relevant professional experience gained in an in-house legal function and/or a law firm. Strong knowledge and practical experience across different areas of law, particularly corporate law, commercial contracts and employment law. Experience in the energy sector or another regulated industry is an advantage. Advanced written and spoken English. Ability to assess legal matters in the context of business needs and commercial implications, with a solution- and results-oriented approach. Strong prioritization, organizational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple legal matters simultaneously. Proactive and accountable working style, with strong communication and collaboration skills across different stakeholders.
