Registered Nurse - Acute Care Orthopedic Surgical - Full-Time Night Shift

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse (RN) specializes in acute care orthopaedic surgical units, providing high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice. Deliver individualized, relationship-based care tailored to diverse patient populations, respecting cultural differences. Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making. Coordinate safe, efficient care delivery, ensuring thorough documentation and collaboration across disciplines. Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and promote evidence-based practices. Serve as a preceptor or mentor, fostering a competent and professional nursing workforce. Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines to ensure quality and safety. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Valid RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification. Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred. Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and customer service skills. Proficiency in clinical technology, critical thinking, and time management. Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced, emergency situations. Additional Duties: Supports resource management, participates in protocol development, and complies with policies and standards to promote optimal patient outcomes.
