About the position Navira Federal, LLC is a small business federal contractor. We are recruiting two Graphic Designers for a proposed contract supporting the Hospital Communications Department at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. You will turn complex medical, military and command information into clear, high-impact visual communications, and manage design projects from concept to final production. What you will do Design and produce command publications, public health campaigns, patient education materials, environmental graphics, digital signage and social media content that follow brand standards. Lead graphic design requests from intake to delivery: build project timelines, keep a production calendar, and coordinate requirements and feedback with stakeholders across the medical center. Turn medical and scientific concepts into clear infographics and visual aids for patients, families and senior military leaders. Create and edit photo and video assets and integrate them into communication products. Work with the public affairs and communications team on visual strategies for major events, initiatives and crisis communications. Present concepts and final products to senior designers and leadership for review and sign-off. Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual arts, communications or a related field. 5 or more years of professional graphic design experience, with a portfolio showing branding, print and digital layout, and data visualization (infographics). Demonstrated mastery of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), and familiarity with pre-press and digital file preparation. Experience in healthcare communications, military public affairs, or a similar regulated, high-visibility environment. Thorough understanding of HIPAA and how to safeguard protected health information (PHI) in visual products. Project management skills to handle many concurrent projects, set priorities and meet firm deadlines. Preferred qualifications Experience with video editing and motion graphics software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects. Work location and schedule On site, full time, at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, 8901 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20889. Monday through Friday during normal business hours (about 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), except federal holidays. Occasional support outside normal hours may be needed for events or emergencies. This position is not remote or hybrid. Pay and benefits Pay range: $90,000 to $115,000 per year. The salary offered within this range will depend on factors such as experience, skills and qualifications for the role. The contract is expected to start December 1, 2026. After a conditional offer of employment, you will need to: complete a Government background investigation (SF 85 or SF 86) for a position designated Tier II, non-critical sensitive, and receive a favorable determination; obtain a Common Access Card (CAC); sign a Defense Health Agency nondisclosure agreement (DHA Form 49); and complete required security awareness and HIPAA training. Before your start date, you will need to provide proof of the immunizations and TB screening the medical center requires for contractor staff (for example, TB testing and risk assessment, MMR, Tdap, influenza and hepatitis B). Security clearance: you do not need a clearance to apply, and an active Secret clearance is a plus. The Government may require Secret clearance eligibility for these positions.
