HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR RELATIONS/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS)

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR RELATIONS/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) in the Human Resources Office, Southwest (HRO-SW) of COMPACFLT HRO SOUTHWEST. You will research, draft, and support the command's position in responses to congressional correspondence and litigation matters. You will advise supervisors at all levels on implementing positive discipline strategies and analyzing the human relations factors underlying workplace performance issues. You will prepare and present management's position before third-party administrative bodies and labor relations boards. You will serve as an authority on labor relations matters, advising management on its strategic positions during negotiations, union disputes, employee grievances, and other industrial relations challenges. You will serve as a senior Labor Advisor providing the full range of labor and employee relations support to customer commands. You will serve as lead management representative or provide assistance to management in hearings before the Merit Systems Protection Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Labor Relations Authority (FLRA) or unemployment appeals. GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector interpreting and applying employee and labor relations principles, practices, laws and regulatory requirements to provide comprehensive human resources management advisory and technical services. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector researching and evaluating employee and labor relations laws, policies and precedents to provide human resources management advisory services.
