This position is located in the Bureau of Driver Services, Driver Eligibility Unit. These positions offers a hybridized work schedule. The positions will be headquartered at and required to work from the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI at least 4 days per week, typically Monday through Thursday. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are generally expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview. Position Summary Responsibilities In this position, you will be responsible for various duties related to driver license and ID card eligibility and issuance. Your primary responsibility will be to review and respond to inquiries via telephone, email, written correspondence, and fax. These inquiries will be focused on eligibility and issuance requirements and process for Wisconsin driver license and identification cards. Other responsibilities include: Issuing duplicate, renewal, and reissued driver license and identification card products. Responding to law enforcement requests and general public requests for Department records. Taking withdrawal action against drivers when it is determined they do not meet licensing requirements. Salary Information This position is in schedule-range (02-11) with a starting pay rate of $25.04/hr, with a $1.40/hr. increase after one year of satisfactory performance. Reclass to the Advanced level is typically after 12 months of service, and receives at least $29.28/hr. This position requires Saturday hours. An additional $0.80/hr will be awarded for all Saturday hours. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan. This position is bilingual in Spanish and English . This position will require the individual selected to be bilingual in Spanish and English. This position receives an additional $1.00/hr add on. Experience working with computer programs, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word or Excel. Ability to read, write and speak fluently in Spanish in addition to English. In addition to having all the above, well qualified applicants will have one or more of the following: Experience in a high-volume customer service contact center contacting customers via phone, email, or chat. Experience interpreting and explaining complex information, such as laws and statutes. Experience performing work that requires multitasking.
