PARALEGAL SPECIALIST

You will serve as a PARALEGAL SPECIALIST in the OFFICE OF THE JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL of RLSO NW BREMERTON. You will serve as the in-person court reporter for courts-martial in Bremerton and occasionally Everett and Whidbey Island. You will be responsible for preparation of all post-trial matters and ensure all post-trial timelines are met. You will train subordinate enlisted and civilian personnel. You will prepare correspondence in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, precedents, policies, office practices and established procedures. You will work for the military judge with some other duties as assigned. You will coordinate with courts-martial members on administrative matters related to serving on a court-martial. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills; 2) Collaborating independently and as part of a team with JAGC Officers, Military Judges, and Legalman to process courts-martial and serve as a court reporter; 3) Managing all phases of the record of trial, including transcription, certification, and post-trial processing while consistently meeting strict deadlines; and 4) Applying prior courtroom experience in military justice or civilian courtroom proceedings.
