Join us as we continue to lead innovation and tackle the most pressing challenges in national security.The AI/ML Architect will serve as the team's senior technical authority for the architecture, design, and integration of AI/ML capabilities supporting DAG mission threads. The Architect will establish a scalable, reusable AI architecture encompassing models, agents, retrieval systems, orchestration, data interfaces, evaluation, guardrails, observability, and human-in-the-loop workflows. The Architect will determine where NGA enterprise capabilities should be leveraged and identify architectural gaps where additional capabilities are required. The role will establish reusable AI patterns and technical standards that enable the team to continuously deliver new mission-thread capabilities without creating unnecessary point solutions or proprietary dependencies. Technical Skills: AI/ML architecture Generative AI architecture Large Language Models Agentic AI and multi-agent architectures RAG architectures Vector databases and semantic search Model serving and inference AI/ML lifecycle architecture LLM evaluation and benchmarking AI guardrails and safety Human-in-the-loop architectures MLOps/LLMOps Python REST APIs and microservices Docker/Kubernetes Cloud and hybrid architectures Event-driven architectures AI observability COTS/FOSS technology evaluation Secure AI architecture Enterprise system integration Salary Range: $156,000 - $351,000Pay Range The posted pay range reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position and is provided to give candidates a general understanding of the compensation opportunity. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the requirements of the position and a variety of job-related factors, which may include geographic location, applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and wage rates, relevant experience, skills and competencies, education, certifications, and the scope and responsibilities of the role. Because this position may be performed in multiple locations and may be subject to different contract requirements, the salary ultimately offered may vary based on the applicable location and contract. The posted range is not a guarantee of a specific starting salary or an indication that an offer will be made at any particular point within the range.
