Role Overview: The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care, including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, while addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs. They formulate and coordinate individualized care plans, educate patients and families, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality outcomes. The nurse evaluates intervention effectiveness, revises care plans as needed, and actively participates in unit decision-making, safety initiatives, and quality improvement activities. They troubleshoot equipment, support evidence-based practices, and uphold safety standards in a clinical environment. Responsibilities: Ensure optimal patient and family experiences by promoting safety and compassionate care. Coordinate care activities, maintain communication with healthcare team members, and document appropriately. Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and unit metrics to meet organizational goals. Engage in continuous learning and quality initiatives to enhance care delivery. Qualifications & Skills: Must have graduate training in nursing, with a preference for a bachelor's degree. Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills are essential. Ability to perform treatments and interpret diagnostic data, with a focus on patient-centered care and safety. Additional Details: The role involves working in private and semi-private rooms with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on surgical orthopedic and total joint cases. The position requires working rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
