# Senior Information Lifecycle Governance Specialist

Administers electronic records governance framework, translating federal, DoW, NARA, and DLA requirements into review procedures, evidence standards, and lifecycle guidance.
Evaluates electronic systems for records retention, metadata, capture, storage, access controls, disposition, preservation, and retirement compliance.
Serves as lead functional program representative for ServiceNow electronic records governance capabilities, defining business rules and workflows.
Conducts functional reviews and user acceptance testing, analyzing dashboards, scorecards, and metrics to identify system risks and data quality issues
Oversees completeness and accuracy of DLA information systems inventory, reconciling ServiceNow data with portfolio architecture sources.
Plans and conducts risk-based assessments using DoD Manual 8180.01 and NARA standards, monitoring corrective actions and systemic weaknesses.
Performs Information Management Control Officer duties, coordinating file plan updates, records inventories, custodian assignments, and training.
Communicates approved guidance, tracks organizational responses, maintains records documentation, and elevates legal hold or disposition issues.
To qualify for a Senior Information Lifecycle Governance Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Mastery in administering electronic records governance programs Evaluating IT systems for lifecycle compliance Translating records management requirements into automated workflow platforms such as ServiceNow Conducting risk-based compliance assessments to identify systemic vulnerabilities and enforce corrective action plans. B. Education Substitution: Education: Applicants may not qualify for this position based on education in lieu of specialized experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
