# Financial Affairs Director

We are seeking a Financial Affairs Director in the automotive industry. The position will take end-to-end responsibility for finance, accounting, controlling, budgeting & reporting, treasury and financial planning, while acting as a strategic business partner to the senior management team. Responsibilities: Lead and oversee all financial affairs functions, including Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting, Cost Accounting & Controlling, Treasury and Tax. Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes in line with the company’s strategic objectives. Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS/TFRS and local statutory requirements. Provide senior management with actionable financial insights through P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, profitability and variance analyses. Oversee manufacturing finance and cost accounting, including product costing, standard vs. actual cost analysis, material, labor and overhead costs. Monitor product, customer and business-line profitability and lead initiatives focused on cost optimization, operational efficiency and margin improvement. Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, financing requirements and banking relationships. Monitor and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and liquidity exposures. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, statutory requirements, internal policies and corporate governance standards. Strengthen internal control mechanisms and ensure an effective and transparent financial governance structure. Coordinate independent audit, tax audit and other regulatory processes, working closely with auditors, tax advisors, banks and relevant authorities. Provide financial evaluation and decision support for CAPEX, investment projects, pricing decisions and strategic business initiatives. Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of finance processes, leveraging ERP, reporting and business intelligence systems. Lead, coach and develop the finance and accounting teams, building a high-performing organization with strong ownership and accountability. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field; MBA or Master’s degree is an asset. Minimum 12–15 years of progressive experience in finance and financial affairs functions, including significant leadership experience. Proven managerial experience within the automotive industry and/or a complex manufacturing environment. Strong hands-on knowledge of manufacturing finance, cost accounting, controlling and profitability analysis. Solid knowledge of IFRS/TFRS, Turkish accounting and tax regulations. Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, treasury and working capital management. Experience in managing financial operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and advanced financial reporting/BI tools is highly preferred. Big Four audit/advisory background and/or SMMM certification will be considered an asset. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into business decisions. Proven leadership, stakeholder management and team development capabilities. Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior management and shareholders.
