# Data Governance Senior Specialist

Qualifications Preferably 3–7 years of experience in Data Analytics, BI Development, Data Engineering, Information Management, Data Architecture or related areas, Advanced SQL knowledge, Experience or strong knowledge in Data Quality Management, Data Profiling and Data Reconciliation, Knowledge of Metadata Management, Data Catalogs, Business Glossaries and Data Lineage, Good understanding of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL/ELT processes, Knowledge and skills in data modeling will be considered an asset, Basic to good understanding of APIs, data integration and end-to-end data flows, Knowledge and/or experience in Data Governance and Data Management processes, Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, Ability to work collaboratively with both business and technology teams, Strong documentation, follow-up and organizational skills, Good command of written and spoken English. Experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Catalog solutions, Data Quality platforms or other Governance tools will be considered a plus. Responsibilities Define, implement and monitor Data Quality controls, Monitor Data Quality KPIs, dashboards and quality metrics, Perform root-cause analysis of Data Quality issues and coordinate resolution with Data Owners, Data Stewards and IT teams, Maintain and support periodic reviews of Critical Data Elements, Maintain the Business Glossary, Data Catalog and metadata records, Document business definitions and relevant metadata, Manage and maintain Data Lineage documentation, Document end-to-end data flows and maintain source-to-target mappings, Support the identification and documentation of authoritative data sources, Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on data flows and domain structures, Coordinate data access, sharing and non-standard data usage requests, Maintain data usage inventories, approval records and data-sharing agreements, Monitor compliance with Data Usage and Data Sharing policies and coordinate exception management, Maintain data domain documentation, metadata and ownership records, Maintain the enterprise Data Product Catalog, including metadata and relevant documentation, Ensure Data Products are linked to business definitions, data domains, lineage and authoritative data sources, Monitor compliance with Data Product standards and coordinate periodic reviews, Develop Data Governance dashboards, scorecards, KPIs and maturity reports, Prepare governance evidence and documentation for audits and regulatory reviews, Track governance actions, findings and remediation plans, Configure and maintain Governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Data Catalog solutions, Data Quality platforms and Governance workflow tools.
