We are seeking outstanding academics who can contribute to the continued development of GTU’s research and education capacity, particularly in: • Computer Engineering • Electronics Engineering • Industrial Engineering • Aeronautical Engineering The Faculty Member / Öğretim Üyesi will be expected to establish and sustain a strong, internationally competitive research program while contributing to high-quality undergraduate and graduate education. The successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research, publish in internationally recognized peer-reviewed journals, develop competitive research proposals, and actively seek national and international research funding. Responsibilities also include supervising MSc and PhD students, developing and delivering undergraduate and graduate courses, mentoring students and early-career researchers, contributing to interdisciplinary research initiatives, and participating in departmental and institutional academic activities. Faculty members are also expected to develop meaningful collaborations with international academic partners, industry, research organizations, and innovation ecosystems , contributing to GTU’s mission as a research university and to the translation of research into technological, economic, and societal impact. This is a full-time, on-campus academic position based at Gebze Technical University in Gebze, Kocaeli, Türkiye. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a research profile consistent with the standards and ambitions of a research-intensive university. Applicants should have: • A PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in the relevant discipline. • A strong record of high-quality peer-reviewed scientific publications appropriate to the applicant’s career stage and field. • Demonstrated capacity to establish an independent and sustainable research agenda with international visibility and impact. • Experience in, or strong potential for, securing competitive national and international research funding and participating in collaborative research projects. • A commitment to supervising and developing MSc and PhD researchers and contributing to GTU’s graduate research environment. • Evidence of effective university-level teaching and commitment to research-informed, innovative and learner-centered education. • Ability to develop interdisciplinary collaborations and engage effectively with academic, industrial, and international partners. • Strong academic communication, presentation, mentoring, and teamwork skills. Applicants must meet the applicable Gebze Technical University Academic Promotion and Evaluation Board (AYDEK) criteria for the academic rank and disciplinary field for which they wish to be considered. Meeting the AYDEK criteria constitutes an essential eligibility requirement and does not, by itself, guarantee appointment.
