Role Description The Human Resources Generalist I is a full-time, hybrid role based in Lake Mary, FL, with some flexibility to work from home. This role supports day-to-day HR operations, including administering employee benefits, assisting with onboarding and offboarding, and maintaining accurate employee records. The HR Generalist I helps implement HR policies, responds to employee inquiries, and supports compliance with employment laws and company standards. Responsibilities also include coordinating HR-related communications, supporting performance management processes, and assisting HR leadership with projects, reporting, and data analysis. The role works closely with managers and team members to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with MDI’s values. Qualifications Foundational knowledge of Human Resources (HR) practices and HR Management to support daily HR operations and initiatives. Ability to understand, apply, and help communicate HR Policies in alignment with legal requirements and organizational standards. Experience or training in Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration to assist with enrollments, changes, and employee questions. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Detail-oriented with solid organizational and time-management skills; capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines. Proficiency with HRIS or HR-related software and Microsoft Office tools; comfort working with data and basic reporting. Ability to collaborate in a hybrid work environment, building relationships both onsite and remotely. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus. Prior internship or entry-level experience in HR, benefits, or administrative roles within corporate or tech environments is beneficial.
