This clinic provides services Monday through Friday. We are currently seeking a skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team! The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) has direct patient care in a busy outpatient Women’s Health/Family Planning, Child Health, Immunization Services, and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) Clinic with diverse, multilingual patient population. Responsibilities Include Receive delegated tasks from Registered Nurse Measuring and recording of vital signs Maintain examination rooms by ensuring they are properly prepared for use by health providers and clients Administer vaccinations and assist with simple surgical procedures Collect lab specimens Assist with managing supplies Document in electronic medical record (EMR) per policy Clean the work areas as directed by OSHA regulations NOTE: Upon acceptance of employment, you acknowledge that (i) if you work in the Health Clinics and Public Health Division, influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law, (ii) actively supports and participates in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours. Required The Basics (Required Education and Experience) High school diploma or GED Six months of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), certified nurse's assistant II (CNA II), registered medical assistant (RMA) Required Licenses should read: License or certification CNAII, CMA, RMA,by and accredited school recognized by the North Carolina Board of Nursing or United States Department of Education (USDE) or Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) BLS (Basic Life Support) Equivalent education and experience are NOT accepted Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume. Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) Medical Assisting associate’s degree or equivalent (2 year) Active certification Experience in Women's Health, Child’s Health or Public Health Spanish language fluency/skills (verbal and written) are highly preferred How Will We Know You're 'The One'?
