• Scroll down to bottom of this post to learn more What You’ll Do As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will provide hands-on support to adults receiving services through Adult Housing or Outpatient programs. No two days are exactly alike. You’ll work alongside clinical, nursing, housing, and support professionals while helping clients build skills, maintain stability, and progress toward recovery and greater independence. How You’ll Make a Difference... Supporting clients with daily routines, appointments, community resources, and individualized recovery and independence goals Building respectful relationships that promote trust, dignity, engagement, and personal growth Helping clients develop healthy habits, strengthen daily living skills, and participate in recovery-focused services Observing client wellbeing and communicating needs, progress, and concerns to the treatment team Responding calmly and appropriately to behavioral health needs, client concerns, and crisis situations within the scope of training Assisting with admissions, orientations, vital signs, safety searches, specimen collection, and medication-related procedures when applicable Providing transportation and collaborating with clinical, nursing, housing, and support professionals to coordinate care Completing timely documentation while helping maintain a safe, structured, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required At least two years of dependable work experience in any industry required Behavioral health experience is preferred but not required Experience in healthcare, human services, residential care, customer service, education, caregiving, direct support, hospitality, security, community services, or another people-focused setting is welcomed Additional Qualifications: Valid driver’s license Ability to obtain a Missouri Class E driver’s license (if driving clients) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Reliability, professionalism, adaptability, and a genuine desire to help others Basic computer skills and ability to complete accurate, timely documentation Ability to remain calm and use sound judgment during challenging or unexpected situations Willingness to provide client transportation, work the schedule associated with the available program, and treat every individual with dignity, respect, patience, and compassion Start Your Career in Behavioral Health Every shift is an opportunity to help someone feel supported, strengthen an important life skill, or take another step toward recovery and independence.
