Must be able to operate material handling equipment and rigging equipment. Apprenticeship papers, Journeymen’s card or 5 years or more of equivalent work experience in the Electrical discipline is required. A working knowledge of machine tools and welding is a plus. The candidate must supply all customary hand tools of the trade. New employees must pass the company physical and drug test. Must be able to obtain / maintain a government security clearance. Must regularly demonstrate the ability to lift a nominal weight, climb ladders, utilize elevated working platforms and bending while servicing equipment. Desired Skills Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment are necessary. Installs, repairs, maintains and fabricates, as required, plant facilities and equipment and performs other general maintenance and service functions. Duties include, but are not limited to mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance, welding, pipefitting, HVAC, carpentry work and painting. Performs periodic inspections and tests and reports findings. Receives general instructions from supervisors and notice of service required from supervisors and other plant personnel. Works from blueprints, sketches and/or oral instructions and specifications. Uses all hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for completion of assignments.
