As a Staff Product Designer, you'll lead that work from early concept through national launch — helping define product direction and setting the visual and interaction bar for everything we ship on one of Robinhood's most visible product lines. Partnering with senior leadership, engineering, legal, research, data science, and marketing, you'll turn complex requirements into experiences that feel simple and trustworthy, down to the last pixel. This role is for a designer at the top of their craft who wants to make a national impact. Success looks like a generation of Americans who turn 18 already invested, and who grew up understanding how money grows. This role is based in our Menlo Park, CA or New York, NY offices, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week. What you'll do Lead end-to-end design for new products — from early concept through national launch — and keep shipping fast once they're live. Set the craft bar: typography, spacing, motion, and visual consistency across a product millions of families rely on. Translate complex, ambiguous requirements into experiences that feel simple, trusted, and beautifully executed. Partner tightly with engineering to protect design intent through implementation — you care what it looks like when it ships, not just in the file. Build and maintain design systems and patterns that scale craft quality as the product line grows. Raise the bar on design work across the team, reviewing with a high standard for detail and polish. Present design direction and rationale clearly and confidently to senior leadership. What you bring A portfolio that demonstrates exceptional visual craft — precise typography, considered spacing systems, polished motion and micro-interaction work. A proven track record of shipping pixel-perfect work at scale, not just concepts. Fluency in design systems and the discipline to build for consistency across a growing, high-visibility surface area. The ability to operate in ambiguity while holding a high craft bar under deadline pressure. Experience partnering closely enough with engineering to protect visual fidelity all the way through implementation. Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected base pay range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones.
