Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Med Surg/Post Surgical - Full Time Day Shift

Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a 28-bed med-surg unit, primarily post-surgical with telemetry and general med-surg patients. Responsibilities: Perform the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Deliver patient-centered care tailored to individual needs and cultural diversity. Partner with patients and families, utilizing effective communication methods like bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds. Coordinate and document safe, quality care, supporting performance improvement, research, and shared governance activities. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth and maintain a qualified workforce. Promote evidence-based practice, participate in data collection, and support protocols to improve patient outcomes. Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum, optimizing resource use and supporting system-wide safety standards. Adhere to organizational policies, standards, and ethical guidelines. Qualifications & Skills: Valid RN license (single-state or multi-state compact). BLS certification required. Minimum 6 months direct patient care experience. Excellent communication, computer, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with professionalism.
