FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Provides financial management services, project management and broad operational remediation work for the mission area. Provides analysis and assessment of Enterprise-wide DFAS Initiatives, projects, or programs with strategic, enterprise, or tactical impacts relative to the agency strategy. Anticipates obstacles and addresses them to ensure timely and accurate delivery of information, products, and services. Remediates identified deficiencies in key control objectives, quality of documentation, and supporting documentation. Identifies and develops risk management plans and executes mitigation/remediation actions. Performs trend analysis of audit related corrective actions and reports on audit readiness metrics. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: performing extensive financial management analysis and evaluation of the most complex situations and/or conditions to identify deficiencies of governing policies, business procedures, automated financial systems, or regulations to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement. Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
