Role Description The Senior Financial Analyst is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bothell, WA, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role is responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for programs and business units. The analyst will prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements and reports, providing insights and recommendations to leadership to support strategic and operational decision-making. Day-to-day responsibilities include variance analysis, cost and margin analysis, consolidating financial data, and ensuring timely, accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, support audits and compliance activities, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and controls. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong financial planning and finance skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial modeling. Candidates should possess advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, perform variance analysis, and provide clear, actionable insights. Candidates should possess experience working with financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Candidates should possess proven financial reporting skills, including preparation of management reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus. Proficiency with Excel and enterprise financial systems; experience with ERP tools and business intelligence/reporting software is beneficial. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with cross-functional teams and present financial information to non-financial stakeholders. Relevant experience in defense, manufacturing, or engineering environments is advantageous.
