Site Reliability Engineer

About the Company Dirac is building the creative suite for manufacturing engineering. Manufacturing engineering has been underserved by fractured tooling. The work of defining how a product gets built is spread across process plans, MBOMs, routings, work instructions, spreadsheets, PLM configurations, ERP tables, and internal tools. Each artifact represents only part of the process, forcing engineers to rebuild context whenever a design changes. BuildOS brings these workflows together in one environment. Manufacturing engineers author, version, review, and distribute the Build—the canonical definition of how a product is produced.How You Will Contribute: Own critical systems—design, build, and scale them. Work directly with manufacturers to ensure our tools solve real problems. Operate in high-agency mode—if it needs doing, you do it. Requirements: You’ve built something • a project, an assignment, something physical, an open source library • and you can explain it conversationally. You want to learn • and build, and re-learn and re-build. You believe your best work from 6 months ago is mediocre now and want to build it all again. You find, design, build and complete work that no one brought to you • because you recognize the need for the work to be done, and done well. You know how to debug and troubleshoot issues while taking reported information at face value • digging deeper to find the root cause. You have knowledge of a programming, scripting or configuration language. You have knowledge of modern container technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, etc. You understand Networking, DNS, and Routing foundations (IP, CIDR, VPN, etc.) You can figure out IT, SSO, MDM functions, apps, and integrations. Nice to Have: Background in manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial software. Familiarity with working with teams org wide (Engineering, Product, Finance, Operations, Legal, etc.) Familiarity with Terragrunt, Tofu, Terraform or similar tools for IaC collaboration. Experience with Security operations (Cookies, CSRF, CSP, etc.) and/or Compliance Frameworks (ISO, CMMC, etc.) You have a general understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL, Cache, Blob, Memory, etc.). You know what RBAC, OAuth, JWT, etc. is.
